Partner Values

Approved Partner Values – are the principles, standards, or qualities that we expect our Approved Partners to uphold through their actions, decisions, and behaviour. They should guide how our Partners interact with their clients, approach challenges, and make choices.

Expectations

  • Will perform the Partner responsibilities set out in these values, to deliver accurate, fair, and ethical support to people experiencing financial hardship who wish to make an application to the DAF.

 

  • Will ensure relevant staff involved in the performance of the Services undertake and complete mandatory annual training provided by NEC;

 

  • Will keep up to date details of all authorised staff accessing the online DAF application system (“NES”);

 

  • Will observe and comply fully with all applicable policies and codes of practice, as updated by Welsh Government and/or NEC from time to time and notified to Partner by NEC.

 

  • Will utilise Partner’s existing internal communication channels to ensure all appropriate staff are fully aware of the DAF grant scheme and will include DAF information in relevant internal training opportunities.

 

  • Will utilise Partner’s existing external communication channels to ensure information about the DAF grant scheme reaches and informs the people it supports.

 

  • Will verify the factual accuracy of all information provided by applicants and ensure applicants meet the eligibility criteria specified by the Welsh Government from time to time in order for an individual to make an application to DAF, before any application is submitted.

 

  • Will not charge potential applicants or applicants for the provision of the Services

 

  • Is committed to equal opportunities and will provide an open, transparent, and accessible service to all potential applicants.

 

  • Gives permission for DAF to hold partnership records on behalf of Partner and agrees that the named main contact (set out in the Registration Form) may be contacted regarding DAF updates and will be involved in an annual review, with all records and personal data processed by Partner in accordance with Data Protection laws.

 

  • Acknowledges that any misuse of public funds, including knowingly supporting false, misleading, or ineligible applications, may result in immediate suspension of its status as an Approved Partner, referral for investigation to the Welsh Government and relevant fraud bodies, legal action including recovery of funds where misuse is substantiated

 

  • Accepts that Partner is liable for actions taken by Partner and must report any suspected misuse or fraud to the NEC Software Solutions Fraud Prevention Manager via daf.partners@necsws.com promptly and in any event within 24 hours of becoming aware of the same;.

 

  • Acknowledges that its appointment as an Approved Partner, and provision of the Services, may be terminated immediately by NEC at any time for any reason whatsoever, including in the event of any failure to comply with any of its responsibilities and obligations set out in these values.
